Effective February 20, 2025, Kim Przekota was appointed Resident Circuit Judge of Cook County, Eleventh Subcircuit, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Mary Colleen Roberts. She was sworn-in as a Judge by the Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, Justice Mary Jane Theis.

Now a sitting Judge, Judge Kim Przekota will run to keep her newly appointed position in the 2026 election.

Kim enthusiastically participated in the Northwest Side St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17th, 2024, surrounded by immense support from her dedicated family and friends. They joined her in celebrating this special occasion, proudly endorsing her candidacy for the position of 11th subcircuit judge in the upcoming 2024 election.

Kim hosted a successful fundraiser on January 9th, 2024, aimed at generating vital support for her campaign as she seeks to secure the position of 11th subcircuit judge in Cook County, Illinois. This event was an important opportunity for community members to come together and rally behind her candidacy.
